Can anyone recomend a campsite 2/2.5hrs from London ( so friends from Manchester can come)
Looking for one with no CARAVANS ! but with elec hookup (!) great for children...views etc

I've spent a fair amount of time on campsites all over the UK, but I don't think I've ever seen such a thing.
Right, and spend the extra time in the car and go somewhere in the Peak District.
It'll be worth it.
As above the electric/no caravan thing might be a stretch.
Stayed here a few years ago - was a great little site, pretty close to rutland water too for bikey/walkey etc.
