I currently work as a chef, have been doing it for 11 years and i have completely lost interest in it! I have no other qualifications as i went straight from school! I am desperate to get out of the trade! Any ideas/help/jobs going out there? I am based in west sussex! Cheers guys & gals

There is a lot not to like! Low pay for 11 years experiance, extremely long hours, no weekends, No family time, no real reward for what we do!! Its just a job i am fed up of and something i really dont want to be doing for the rest of my life!!

Using the skills you have - Go in to partnership with someone to open/run a pub/Bistro/Restaurant. It won't fix all of the issues, but might help with some of them
Anecdote - A friend is a clasically trained chef (Ecole De Culinaria and 5* hotel for years) and he earns better money and has better hours fitting and fixing soft drink kit into pubs and takeaways for a well known soft drink distributor. Sad waste of great talent, but totally understandable really
