Unfortunately there's only one Corbyn/Momentum/Union/Guardian-approved leadership candidate, but they all agree that it's too early for him yet.
Clive Lewis

Clive Lewis wouldn't be a bad idea. Not sure why it's too early for him though. I'd also expect Heidi Alexander to be in the running too. I'm still absolutely convinced Corbyn will not fight the next election.

Well he certainly won't fight it, but he will still be leader unless the Unions withdraw their support.

The bright side is that they have uncovered a possible replacement with Starmer.

I hope poor Ms Abbot recovers quickly. She must have been very poorly to miss such a vote. Best wishes to her.

I know he wants to be more Trump, but he has just stated that people "choose to be gay" or lesbian.

https://t.co/KjgctveCog

๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Still if any of them choose not to be gay then his mates at Press TV ( banned from the UK for their part in showing a confession obtained with torture of a journalist ) know the blokes who have the cranes who can hang people until they are straight again.

"I hope poor Ms Abbot recovers quickly. She must have been very poorly to miss such a vote. Best wishes to her."

Her party and her own views diametrically at odds with her constituents. Abstaining would have been the right thing to do IMHO and given that wasn't practical a migraine was the right thing to do.

Still a nasty racist, but on this she's done the right thing.

Surely the right thing would have been to resign from the shadow cabinet as others did? Then vote according to conscience.

Not impressed with an MP who would take a sickie rather than vote or abstain. But can't say I'm surprised with her.

The sickie abstention is even worse.

If she wasn't one of the Leader's only allies, then yes.

Not allied enough to vote with him though?

Derick 'Degsy' Hatton on This Week just now - the socialist supporter of arch socialist Corbyn - has clearly being having Botox, sat there in his Paul Smith suit. I'd put my house on him having a driver waiting for him when he's done

Power to the people eh comrades...

binners - you spout this bollocks as if a) we wouldn't agree with you and b) the alternative we've currently got is better.
But no matter - you go away thinking you've scored your point.

Are we reaching a tipping point - like in the same way every Manchester resident will have at some point been the guitarist in The Fall, before being sacked by Mark E Smith - that every single Labour MP will have been Foreign Secretary before resigning in exasperation at Jezza?

Quite worried about Diane, fine at 5pm Westminster function then struck down before the vote on the most important issue of the last 40 years. 3 line whip too. Back in my day we called it skive-alitus

Perhaps it was Dianne's turn to be the guitarist in the Fall? And as her colleagues filed through the division lobby, she was scowling at Mark E Smith for ****ing around with the bass on her amp?

Good piece

Obviously you would think that Jamba as she's back to the 'we should be more like the tories' solution. Have people like her not learned anything from the past two years? Do these labour MPs really not have any better ideas than 'we should be a little bit more racist'?
