Yet another thing for Little England to get all steamed up about, apparently. ๐Ÿ˜€

Just leggings with a blue colour and faux stitching. I prefer girls wearing plain black. Jeggings will go out of fashion eventually anyway, and there are worse fashion fauxpas, like puffball skirts.

Just pull out your old black suede winkle-picker boots with the skull buckles j-d and try and explain them off to todays yoof.

So old hat these were worn by the Carrera road team back in the 80's/90's as longs! The shorts were also the same complete with faux pockets.

They are leggings that look like jeans and have been around the last couple of years. They flatter no-one.

Well the many I seen wearing them last week around Newcastle they certainly were flattering. Even more so than the above pic.

Horrible things - work well if you have her figure, like about 1% of the population. Why do young girls have such big bellies these days btw ? Is it generations of poor nutrition ? The current styles that do them no favors ? Binge drinking ?? All very odd.

Maybe it's just the students around my way, but they all seem to wear tight tops and have pot bellies. Perhaps its a pregnancy epidemic.

Other words following this trend

Shackets - Shirt / Jackets - an on trend combination of shirt and jacket.
Cankles - Calfs / Ankles - where ankes and calfs mould seemlessly on the obese.
Gunts - Gut / C..... - A truly unpleasant frontage of a woman accentuated within aforementioned jeggings.

add also 'shart' - a cross between a sh*t and a fart.. usually performed when very hungover on the way to the pub for a hair of the dog.. resulting in instant shame and an uncomfortable journey home to freshen up...

jeggings are a bit 'last month', apparantly.

My 8 year old now wants a pair of 'treggings'.

Interesting! I was walking into a shop yesterday and checked out a nice bottom wearing what looked like jeans, but I noticed the pockets were printed on.... now I know! And flattering, they very much were ๐Ÿ™‚

Anyway, it was more the word itself I was questioning rather than the fashion. Seems like said fashion hasn't reached Baildon yet, thankfully

Shows how much I'm home with the downies, I thought Jeggings were those Irish twins off the X-Factor.

Why do young girls have such big bellies these days btw ?

Because they wear jeans etc that are two sizes too small, causing a muffin-top effect.

Embarrasing moment when I was in my teens. Had known a this guy for yrs and had know this girl from college. Standing talking to guy whilst admiring girl who was in the newsagents. Made a few comments about girls figure as we were both standing looking at her.
Out she comes and says "hi dad, did`nt know you 2 knew each other"

Slinks off ๐Ÿ˜ณ ๐Ÿ˜ณ

My wife has a pair, and she's not usually very on trend.

I call them Jedwards to wind her up.

Really, honestly folks, given how quite ridiculous most people on here look in their bike gear, i don't think anyone is in any position to comment on other people's fashions. Apart from myself of course - i am the leading MTB fashionista of whom all others follow 8)

+1 for simonralli

Fashion ain't in it.

Shapely women in tight clothes = good
Middle aged blokes and podgy women in tight clothes = bad

I have seen, in the US, nappies for babies with jeans printed on them. They look like hotpants. Wrong wrong wrong!
