I'd prefer a solid state drive of min. 500gb.
Must have at least 8g of ram and a decent graphics card as I need to open up 3D models from Inventor. I'm not running Inventor - just Design Review for manipulating and capturing.
15"+ display preferred and HDMI out for an external monitor.
My 5 year old Acer has just frazzled itself so I need to move quickly.

The hardware requirements of Design Review are pretty low, so doubt you'll need a discrete graphics card per se - the graphics capabilities built into core iX processors these days are pretty capable for 'viewer' applications.
Dell business machines are well made IMO, Dell outlet gets you good prices and scratch and dent the best bargains. FWIW I've had/know of around a dozen scratch and dent machines, only one of them had a very minor mark on the case. Check around 3pm when the stock gets updated as it goes quick:-
