Glenn, how do you stay warm at 18C?
Mines set between 22-24C all year,,don't see the point of turning it off because it's a thermostat see...
^^^^^ that too here. That's what thermostats are for ! Ours is a little lower, it's a Hive, so varies from 20 in the mornings to 22 in the later parts of the evenings. Over the summer (Glasgow) its kicked in most evenings for a wee while. Last few weeks it's been coming on in the mornings, and then late afternoon.
Wife has just a moment ago said it feels cold, the App says house is 21.8, thermostat at 21.5, so I've just popped it up to 22, on the iPad, on the couch 😀
Aga in the kitchen = a nice warm house.
Temperature currently 21c without any heating on at all.
Can't wait for the temperature to actually drop a bit so I can test the Nest thermostat, new boiler and newly flushed CH system!
Mine's set to 21 for when we're around (early morning + evening during the week; slightly later, midday and evening at weekends). And 17 for all other times.
And it's a thermostat, so it comes on when needed and doesn't when not. If that's mid-September so be it!

The thermostat is in the hallway and it's the coldest place in the house. 18/19C will make it about 22C in the lounge so nice and warm!

Much the same for me but about 20degC in the lounge is fine
Ours is set for 18deg all year round. Heating hasn't been on since Feb. Doubt it'll be on until November.
Sod it, I've just lit the fire....that's it - winter has started
stove ticking nicely. lounge (by the stove) 23C and wrmer than I'd like, but it gets my 2 years old bedroom (furthest place in the house from the stove) up to 19C. so the CH is still off.
Upstairs is set to 18.5°c, downstairs to 20°c through the day, no lower than 18 at night.
Wood burners take downstairs up to 24°c minimum.
