I've been given four chunks of Beech. Any ideas of what to do with them? I'm guessing they will take time to dry out?

I don't know much about wood.

Last time I did that I got caught, I claimed it was wood glue and got away with it, still picking the splinters out mind.

(I think they’ll just split as they dry out)

Beware - McMoonter will be round to your house shortly to collect them as a part of his mission to corner the UKs supply of wood

I've also been given quite a few blocks of wood. Apparently I'm into carving. Only ever on a snowboard, in truth. I need some decent chisels to make a start...

Well, they're short in terms of grain length so nothing really structural. They're Beech so usually not a particularly interesting grain pattern unless spalted which looks really mad.

Decorative maybe, woodturning or just sit a gnome on them by your pond.

Seen a couple of people recently use them as cake stands at weddings. Meh...

Burn them. 🔥
