If Apple did high res I might switch back but I expect it would be proprietary not flac so unlikely to happen.

I love my ever-expanding CD collection.
Although over forty years old, the medium and
the technology deployed to produce superb analogue
sound from it still amazes me. A thing of beauty.
...switching for Garmin compatibility.
I think they might’ve removed the CD drive on more recent Garmins 😂

Spotify for me. I wasn’t sure at the time whether if I went with Apple i’d be tied to iphones for ever more.

but I’m sure that’s not what the OP is talking about
If it is I’m not voting 😀
Ere! bruceonabike! Are you talking streaming services?? or wot?
As most have deduced I was of course talking about Apple's streaming service, these days called Apple Music but still often refered to by many as iTunes. Sorry for the confusion, I'm obviously an old duffer!
Thanks for the many responses, this has now confirmed what I suspected and I will be making the switch to Spotify, then I'll be able to sync my Garmin Fenix 5 instead of manually copying across individual tracks.
Never liked iTunes since it ruined all my mixed albums by deciding to organise them in some random order. I've never had an iPhone or other such Apple product.
Spotify all the way.
Also tried Tidal's Master version VS Spotify High/Premium. To my ears, Spotify sounded better comparing the same tracks.
