Is it possible to have a page in a PDF document that isn't counted.

So for example:

The PDF is 40 pages long
I want to insert 2 pages
But I want PDF to still show it's only 40 pages long and if I print it it will only print the original 40 pages.

Is this posssible at all? Any help appreciated
Thanks

I don't think so - I have never come across that feature (then again, I have never had a need to find that feature.

Perhaps have the two additional pages as a linked file?

Do you mean you don't want two pages to show a page number or the page count to only show 40 pages when there are 42?

In a word yes. For instance, I insert a page after Page 13 but I don't want this page to be page 14 and when I print the whole PDF I don't want this page to print out. Does that make sense?

Document processing/Number pages?
Set the extra pages as something different.
If you have a full version of Acrobat.
Can do it for you if it isn't sensitive.

Just had a look on my version, Acrobat XI and I don't see that as an option. So yes what you're saying makes sense but I don't think its possible. Effectively you want to 'hide' 2 pages from the page menu.

How would that hide it from the page numbers on the menu bar?

Okay in 'Document Properties' under 'Advanced' you can set 'print page range'. That might help you. And under 'initial view' you can hide toolbars under 'user interface options'. You would have to password protect it though so settings can't be changed.
