b) Have you *seen* the state of the public finances? They're not slashing and burning cause it's fun or wins votes; they're doing it because they have no choice - the last lot of clowns didn't exactly leave them a lot of leeway! And printing money is really only a short term solution due to the inflationary effect.

I'm not into political arguments but on the news tonight, Joe public were saying they thought D C was good for the country. I remember saying the same about Blair. Time will tell and of course they are brilliant if you end up on the right side of there policies.
