and amazon are less likely to have some one steal your card details and spend lots of money with it.

They do that all the time. Don't know if the tactic is to bring you to their site and you will buy something anyway. Has the opposite effect on me and I buy very little, if anything, from them these days.

That really annoys me too. I've started to ignore CRC results in search pages. Not clever sales tactics.

It's not just CRC that do that though - lots of other online retailers do it, cycling and otherwise.

Yeah loads of sites do it evans, jejames and probikekit also have cheap stuff listed which isn't in stock. Its a way of manipulating the search engines.... or google as its commonly known.

Very true. Hargroves Cycles constantly list cheap Specialized Allezezezez which are never in stock.

It was just CRC that broke my pet camels back this morning 😉

Yes, google shopping is rapidly becoming spammed to death. American sites, prices without VAT, not in stock, just plain made up, etc.
Trust is becoming more and more important.

is the amazon one actually in stock though? A lot of shops drop the prices when out of stock so to nail over the shops that do price matching but don't stipulate that it ahs to be in stock. You rung CRC up and asked if they would price match?

I've done this twice now in the past month - filled my 'wishlist' with over £100 pounds worth of kit, then googled each item only to find it all cheaper elsewhere. Saved myself a packet!

Not really, but was just looking as my Hex is a bit beat up so just thought I would see what is out there.

Will probably leave it as just bought some shoes, pedals, tubes and just deciding between co2 and a pump, so that's the essentials out the way.

..well apart from the actual bike.
