nice one. Raced amongst some of these at Cowes week 2008 and RTi 2009 they are mental speed and that was me on a sportsboat pushing 18kts.
worse things happen at sea
wouldn't have happened with a steel frame.
They look like a lot of fun, pretty bloody flighty though! I used to have a Nacra 18', loved that thing, I will have another one (or similar) one of these days... nothing better than hanging off the trapeze on a fast beam reach!
Cynic-al will fix it. Awesome boats though, anyone seen the video of one hitting a wall head on?
Found it.
Duck tape will fix all of those.
Those cats are insane but so much fun. I worked in France years ago & we had a couple which we used to tale the kids out on - when they went they went in a big way & man were they a pain to right..
Ace 🙂
Always wanted a Hobie 18 or 20...Crashed around in a few Darts, Hobie 16's and Prindle 18-2's - including racing the ferry on Ullswater, and pitchpoling in front of it with two of us on the wire...
More fun bending boats, 18' Skiff Stylee:
They look like blummin' huge, fast boats for a ridiculously tiny bit of water!
haha.... like eco powered F1.
cool.
