[#2809920]

I have tickets for Take That at the City of Manchester stadium for June the 12th, but I need to take my good lady somewhere nice for the night before Saturday 11th.

She prefers the country house/ spa style hotel rather than city breaks so Manchester itself is out. Any suggestions of somewhere nice close to Manchester?

Thanks
Nick.

See you there ๐Ÿ˜•

I've stayed at the Last Drop nr Bolton a couple of times, I seem to recall it was pretty nice though it was at least 10 yrs ago the last time I was there!

I got the Mrs some tickets on Monday for last night last performance in Sunderland, she came back last night and declared they were the best birthday present she could have asked for. Win!

The Samling at Dovenest, near Ambleside. About 75 minutes from Manchester.

Superb, quiet, quality, got married there....

Everywhere will be booked out near Manc, you'll need to look further afield

which direction are you coming from?

Somewhere nice to take the wife for her birthday.

Sack the concert off... don a Robbie/Mark/Gary/Jason/Howard mask (delete as appropriate) and take her up the Khyber..

She'll get a birthday treat and neither of you will have to endure any dross music..

everyone's a winner..

Coming up from Peterborough - so south/ east of Manchester would be best.

Thanks for the suggestions so far though.
