I have been trying to convert MS Autoroute .axe files to .gpx or .mmo for use with Memory Map.
I have been using GPS Babel but all I get is a straight line between the start and finish points.
Is there any other software that can do this or am I missing something obvious?

Autoroute works a different way from Memory Map. It uses the "road network" to join up waypoints and doesn't generate interim waypoints at each change in direction.
As a suggestion - use www.bikeroutetoaster.com to generate your road route and then download a GPX file from there.
