I know there's always been issues in society with violence and anti-social behaviour but I can't believe that this sort of opportunistic thuggery has always been commonplace.
I'm just left feeling baffled (and saddened and angry) as to what process went on in their heads that led them to do that.

mogrim; I always thought helicopters was DeVinci in the 15th century?
I'd imagine if you could time travel back to 15th century Florence there'd be reports of 17 and 19 years old men getting up to no good
If it was my baby that they stopped from going into hospital using the helicopter there would be a headline of 'Two youths serious injured after Dad attacked them'
I would give out mandatory jail sentences for anyone trying to stop the emergency services doing their job (without good reason)
