Depends on the account shirley? Some are monthly, some annually, some you barely notice 😉

An annual account and was expecting interest paid today as from today I can start filling it again

You can still add money to a new / existing ISA from today. It doesn't matter when the old one was opened in the tax year. You could in theory open two new accounts just 1 day apart
