As I understand it H2o dose not conduct but any salt in water makes the solution a good conductor. The human body has a lot of salts so H2o + human = solution of hight conductance.
Pure water isn't a good conductor, but the water in human tissue isn't pure.

Water does not conduct, but minerals dissolve in it making an ionic solution which is full of free floating ions, perfect for conduction leccy. So basically even slightly impure water conducts really well.
With regards human tissue - the outer layer of our skin can be dry or it can absorb a lot of water. This makes it conduct much better.

Pain which I have moved onto now is much more interesting.
Pain is very interesting indeed... I used to do a lot of chronic pain theatre lists in my younger days, now I just turn up the morphine/diamorphine/alfentanil etc..

I want to know what happens if a horrific accident occurs and my 200 litre fish tank spews out it's water all over the dining room, including over the several multi socket extension cables right under the cabinet.
Will the RCD get in quick enough or is it very dangerous?
There is no reason this should ever happen (It would have been more likely in my younger days when I drank too much alchohol much too often). I just wonder how bad it would really be.

The fish would be sleeping with the fishes, I guess.
rcd would trip very quickly. Fish would die by asphyxiation, you would be fine.
Shame about the poor fishes.
Electricity comes out of wall, into floor. You're not at much of a risk tbh. Maybe if you were lying on the floor at the time it would be worse.
WOn't the electricity mix with the water bud get everywhere, albeit diluted?
