Evening all,

I've spent most of this evening scratching my head over a slightly puzzling hot water (or lack thereof) issue. In a nutshell, I have no hot water from any of my taps. We have a cylinder/cold water storage-tank type of system, and I've read that sometimes the cold water storage tank in/outlets can get scales up and blocked. I've been up in the loft, examined the inlet/outlets to the cold water storage tank, and stuck a long bottle washing brush down both pipes. Both seem clear. I've also forced cold water back up the hot taps from the kitchen, which resulted in the cold water storage tank filling up to the overflow pipe, and a nice waterfall from one of the external overflow pipes. I've now exhausted all of my ideas (both of em!) - so thought I'd see if any of your guys have any thoughts.

Thanks in advance 🙂

are you radiators working ?

I had the issue where the 3 way valve broke and we had hot water in the radiator but not in the taps .

Its not clear from your OP what's meant to heat the water!

Gas / oil bolier? Immersion? etc

Apologies. The water in the cylinder is heated by a gas back-boiler (it's behind a gas fire in the front room) Central heating works completely fine.
