I have an old type monitor in the last few days since moving, the screen appears to be fogged up, it's like its condensated but even after leaving it on all day it doesn't improve.
What could be wrong?
I can't adjust the settings to improve things.

Focus is gone.
Could be FBT or more likely CRT.
Time for a new one!
Oh unless the degause coil is no longer firing at start up?
Try a hand degauser over it.

I need a new TV and digibox so will get a little intergrated LCD with pc port.
