I'm trying to send a message to someone in the classifieds but there doesn't seem to be a way to do it. I can't send it from the message part of my profile either. Has something broke/changed or is it just me being a bellend?

Well it's one of those things...
There's not an easy way, search for the user in the search bar, find a post of theirs in the results, click through to their profile and send a message from there. It's not exactly ideal.
This won't work for classifieds only posters, though I can't say I'm too disappointed by that bit at least.
