So Strava is responsible for bad riding and all cheeky trails becoming known.
The internet makes us all perverts and wierdo's
Feels a bit like Video Games are killing our children
Video Nasties are poisoning the minds of out kids
These train things will scare farm animals to death
Wheels be the death of us
Why are we so keen to blame technology for human failings? Are we incapable of accepting responsibility for our own actions?
Maybe we should live in a nanny state....
(and why do people keep putting OT posts in the bike forum, I reckon strava has something to do with that too)
Are we incapable of accepting responsibility for our own actions?
Well, duh. Of course. Most of societies problems are because people avoiding accountability for their actions. That, and generations are becoming increasingly selfish.
Hairspray! Don't forget hairspray destroyed the ozone layer!
And fridges.
The icecaps are melting don't you know.
Singlespeeds will be responsible for a future crisis in elderly care:
Homes full of older people with knackered knees, unable to move and demanding cake at all hours.
BAN THIS FILTH!!!
And the name change from Marathon to Snickers subliminally turned an entre generation off long distance running and is directly responsible for today's obesity crisis.
That, and generations are becoming increasingly selfish.
The past is a false utopia that never existed.

Not always true.
Some things were better than they are now. Some things were worse.
This argument that things were never better than they are now is often used to justify actions or policies which generally involve certain sections of the population getting a good seeing to.
I'd like to think we can evolve as a species, even thought the majority of historical evidence confirms that we often confuse change with evolution, especially when it comes to social conventions.
Its all happening because people are looking for an easy scapegoat to blame, rather than take responsibility for their own actions.
Reap what you sow.
Some things were better than they are now.
I agree, but the things that were better, are never the things focused on. It's easy politics and media manipulation to marginalise sections of society, and then blame them for everything.
