Just started watching it. Wasn't sure if it would be any good but thought I'd give it a go as it has Nathan Fillion out of Firefly in it. I'm really liking it!

Hmm not tried that one will need to have a look

House of Cards is very good if you haven't already seen it.

and of course Breaking Bad

It gets a bit boring after a couple of seasons and the story progression is really, really slow! I still watch it as I don't not enjoy it. Prefer the Mentalist now though which is along the same lines.

Is the Mentalist on Netflix? Will give it a go. Agree about H of C and BB, enjoying both of those too

Any other Netflix recommendations? Here's mine (some might be US or Canada only, can't remember):

Fringe is quite watchable in an X Files rip off stylee.
Sons of Anarchy is ridiculous but very watchable.
Mad Men
Walking Dead
Life on Mars
Sherlock
Top Boy

Unfortunately no Mad Men, Sherlock or Walking Dead on Netflix UK. Hrumph! Just about to start Fringe and agree entirely with Sons of Anarchy synopsis!!

No Shield I'm afraid, only really liked the first series of that anyway. So Orange is the New Black is funny then? Worth a go?

House of Cards is fantastic. Visually stunning, superb acting and brilliant storylines.

If you're not easily offended, which probably rules out most of this place, then Doug Stanhope's Beer Hall Putsch is hilarious.

I think there is a Firefox extension that lets you watch US Netflix for free. I pay a monthly fee (about £2.50 I think) for Unblock US so I can watch it through AppleTV on my projector. 🙂

I take it this isn't the original House of Cards? The one starring Ian Richardson.

No it's a Netflix commissioned show with Kevin Spacey in it. Not sure if there is a connection between the two - both political dramas.

I'd be interested to know if they are going to get the last two seasons. I vaguely remember reading that Showtime wasn't going to make them available to Netflix, but that might have been in the US. I think I'll rent the last two seasons from LF (season 7 is available now on bluray and 8 is available in a couple of weeks)

Yep, Showtime shows are sadly not on U.S. Netflix.

This is the best thing on Netflix. It's a documentary about Todmorden and Hebden Bridge. 😉

Can't see any mention of Breaking Bad. So that, unless you've already seen it!

Quite enjoying Silk at the moment, only a couple at a time oh and old Black Books and In the thick of it. (sad to see In the Loop isnt)

House of Cards is truly excellent though.

You can with Unblock US - not sure if there is a free way to do it.

Think they do a month's free trial.

Castle is crap, but it knows it's crap which makes it endearing and fun 🙂

We really enjoyed Orange is the New Black. Not quite sure about the comment above re bad acting. Seemed pretty good to us.
