[Closed] iPod touch -great little computer

Yep they are good got a 8gb one and when my Macbook pro died it was the only thing I had to surf the net for a week. Makes a good little PDA.

And you can use it as a turn-by-turn GPS unit with something like Navigon or Copilot in the car, too. There's a neat little GPS unit that sits on the dash and has it's own wifi that links to the Touch. Around $90, IIRC.
Get a good pair of in-ear phones like Ultimate Ears or Sennheiser with a remote mike and you can then use neat little apps like Shazam, which is pretty nifty for checking out songs you hear on the TV. Used it on CSI-NY the other evening, allows voice recorder apps to be used too. I use UE MetroFi 170vi 'phones from the Apple Store in Bristol, cost around £45, and they're chuffin' brilliant.

Just got a 32GB one too and have connected it to the house wifi. I can spend hours on the Google Earth app. Fab and I can't usually be fussed with technology!

Found one of our aircraft carriers yesterday on Google Earth. One day I'll get a life 🙂

I put this app on called documents to go and uplinked all my PDF copies of single track. Really very readable on here.
