Hi

I have received an ipod touch for my birthday and i'm in the process of up loading (or maybe even downloading) music into Itunes. Could someone tell me how, when i in-port the music into the software the associated pictures (album/CD) cover is also in-ported?

As you can from this post i have absolutely no computer technological knowledge at all.

Cheers

Nick

I'm going to guess you are on a PC, not a Mac?

When you import a CD, each one of them has a unique number that iTunes remembers. Ideally, you should be connected to the internet when you import thre Cd in which case iTunes should also grab the artwork for you when it gets the track names. If not, there is a menu item, "Advanced --> Get Album Artwork", that you should click on that will go through your collection and get artwork it is missing.

Hope that helps

Rachel

it won't import the artwork when you rip the cds to the computer, but you can either have it set to automatically try to find the corresponding artwork from an online database or ask it to do that as and when you want it to. this can be a bit haphazard, though, so you can also manually add artwork to albums by rightclicking, selecting "get info" and dragging the artwork into the box yourself.

"Advanced --> Get Album Artwork" does it iTunes for most albums.
I use an MP3 tag program to get the artwork before importing into iTunes.

Very easy to use and can get the album info from a few websites by using the "TagSources" menu option.

You do need to be logged into your iTunes account to make it work (IIRC) but the above advice is correct.
