Just purchased an Ipad and want to be able to put some of my DVD collection on to it via my laptop (MacBook Pro). Can anyone suggest any free and simple to use conversion software to do this task?

Never used it, but a program called "Handbrake" seems to get a frequent mention on various websites. Might be worth a look.

Handbrake is easy to use, the problem is dealing with copy protection on the DVD's, which handbrake doesn't do, I pay for anyDVD on PC not sure what is available on mac.
