Hi,
I'm presenting some work and I would like to display a series of gif movies with some sort of UI to allow users to select which gif they would like to view. I was thinking some sort of html code linking to the files with a back button to return to the root.
Is this possible with an iPad?
Once again, I've not much idea about the iPad, I could do this task for a windows machine.

Have a look at Apple's Keynote app (on iPad). There will be a slight learning curve, but I think this will be the easiest/most professional way to accomplish your task. Plus you can mirror the output to a TV screen or projector so others can easily see what's going on.
