Since the update my m/phone no longer syncs to my Hotmail/Outlook account.

Searched the net but can't find any solutions (or ones I understand).

Help.

Cheers.

Try re-setting it up with the latest hotmail server settings.

somouk,

The net hinted this might sort it. Is there an idiots guide to doing that?

My lad is also having issues with Facetime and Imessage.

It is constantly asking for his appleid password and then when he puts it in it says cant connect to server and check network setting?

Network settings seem fine as he is playing games online.

tried changing it to outlook.com?

Within Settings - Mail - Contacts, Calendars - Add Account I've tried to link my Hotmail via 'Exchange' & 'Outlook' - but it still doesn't work. I've used 'Other' that halfway works in that I can send and receive Emails but I have to manually refresh - emails are not pushed through (alerts are set up correctly in Notifications).

The refresh rate isn't set under alerts it's set under the mail account in Settings > Mail > Fetch New Data

Hotmail WON'T be under Exchange - you need to outlook.com or "other"
Then go to settings as somouk stated.

Cheers all,

I know it should be under Outlook, but it didn't work so I tried the other options.

Fetch New Data is set to Push.

Still borked - ARRRRGHHH getting on my t1ts now.

Had exactly the same issue. Tried everything suggested by Apple numerous times and got nowhere.
Junked the whole email app and now use mymail, far superior in all departments. It seems to support all email accounts and is free in the AppStore

SORTED 😀

Deleted the account, reset the phone (which I'd not done before) and then added the account again.
