A gallery in London is showing art that can't be seen. Hayward gallery has pictures done in invisible ink, a plinth once stood on by Andy Warhol and a blank canvas that was stared at for 1000 hours by the artist over a 5 year period.

I am no expert but this is taking the p**s?!

It's the embodiment of the conceptual visualisation of the process by which we appraise and deconstruct the implied artistic meaning behind modern art pieces.

That's how I interpreted it, although you probably wouldn't have seen me in the gallery itself as my attendance was also invisible.

Now, in all seriousness I hope the real piece of art is the time lapse video that is being filmed of all the arty types who go to the exhibtion...

I'm organising an invisible festival for this summer.

Invisible stages, invisible artists, invisible food, invisible sideshows... there's even going to be an invisible funfair with the worlds tallest rollercoaster in it.

Feel free to join in the fun and bring your invisible tent.

works invoke invisibility to underscore the limits of our perceptual capacities or to emphasize the role of our imagination in responding to works of art. Some use invisibility as a metaphor that relates to the suppression of information or the political disappearance and marginalization of social groups.

you said what now??

I agree, all the best art is not done by monkeys.
