My Kaspersky subs runs out in a few days, anyone got any better alternatives? I dont mind paying for peace of mind and think, rightly or not, that buying is probably better than the free stuff. ready to be proved wrong mind!

Microsoft Security Essentials.
YMMV, but I've found most of the "TOTAL SECURITY!!" products to be more trouble than they're worth.
