Photo's of stuff going on around the world, very good. The recent '2009 UN World Drug report' collection is very interesting to see!

Everything ends up on Reddit, mostly sooner rather than later. It's my second favrote source of news after Radio 4.

Skyscrapercity.com is pretty good. It's a big site that is ostensibly about skyscrapers - doesn't sound that interesting, but really it's about urbanism in general - if you live in a major UK city there will be a sub forum for it that will discuss architecture, transport, local culture and heritage, planning etc. Great site if you're a city-dweller and interested in what's going on to shape your home turf.
