I realise the demographic on here is firmly ensconced in trainee giffer territory. So you'll all be familiar but being considerably younger than you I've recently found Talk Talk, just sublime..

Welcome, I discovered Talk Talk on a talent show called David Essex’ Showcase, I believe they played their first single ‘Talk Talk’, from the forthcoming album, ‘The Party’s Over’. Sadly, I never did get to see them live, but it’s always good when people suddenly discover what an extraordinary band they were.
Check out Mark Hollis’ eponymous solo album, but I would suggest that you go through the band’s discography in order, because they get ever sparser as they go on, and Mark’s album has lots of empty space, making it a bit challenging to listen to - I often find myself getting fidgety waiting for something to happen.
You’re welcome, btw. 😎

Being young enough to discover Talk Talk as something new and unheard is pretty cool. There's so much music, new and historical to discover it must be quite mindblowing. Can't actually get my head round it.
Makes me wonder what else the OP has yet to discover. Update us occasionally 🙂

Spirit Of Talk Talk covers album is really good, in the way covers albums rarely are.

Mark Hollis solo album is worth a listen as well, follows on from Laughing Stock nicely.

This always moves me…

Mark Hollis’ solo album is beautiful, I was only introduced to it last year.

Mark Hollis was a genius, Talk Talk are probably eternally within my entirely subjective list of the best three bands ever.

Spirit of Eden and Laughing Stock are the motherlode.

Colour of Spring for me. Fantastic band that I had always hoped might tour/record again although Both Marks and Rustin mans individual output was fantastic.

Well you've just taken me straight back to the summer of 1989 and we are driving around the Isle of Wight in a metallic purple mini clubman with a white roof in a trance  listening to I Believe in You. One of my all time favourite tracks
