Tempting as it might be. Do not put a snickers bar in the microwave to melt it. Why you would want to do it is a puzzler, but just don't do it.
There'l be smoke, smell, a little panicking, you'll be forced to open all your windows and doors. Your neighbours will come out running and maybe even laugh at you.
Call this a PSA.

my mom microwaved some aunt bess's dumplings to thaw out before chucking in the stew and set the microwave on fire.!

Did you leave the wrapper on too?

I heated chocolate in a microwave at school cooking class.

While admiring a beutiful day with friends out the window, the sun, warmth and hang on where's that smoke coming from?

Fire alarm sets off and we evaucuate the home economics building...oops

Wrapper taken off obviously(i'm not that special) snickers broken into small pieces and put into a bowl. I mean I had all my bases covered.

yep - had the same thing when melting chocolate for cooking - chocolate gives off a LOT of smoke!
