Some obscure relatives who I haven't seen for 7 or 8 years have been round for the afternoon and they were surprisingly nice. Then I see on the news Gove has apologised!! I don't care what for I didn't get beyond the headlines before I went weak at the knees.

He's outranked and will have been told to wind his neck in.

Bit of crossover of roles there, home sec for the terrorism/security side and education for him so can see why the argument came about and at least it has drawn a bit of attention to it.

OFSTED are hard on the governance of schools and therefore the direct responsibility is Gove's. May is only involved if something illegal has happened. Being radical isn't illegal in its self. The National Health Service was the result of radicals.
