Blimey, I remember watching that exact broadcast on Eurosport in 96. Completely bonkers and commentary is perfect for it. Completely deadpan.

The commentator was great.

I am amazed that so few people got hurt, the carnage potential was massive.

Bonkers. I went to watch the MX meet up the road last week - starting to look quite tame now ๐Ÿ™‚

"I shudder to imagine what sort of a pub drinking session came up with this".
Bit of a chuckle at that, but I think the off-road scooter was a pretty good engineering bodge!

Also, has the commentator taken a few tips from the Alistair McGowan school of humour? Reminded me of the good ol' days of HIGNFY

Yep, I remember watching that as well. Brilliant. 9:25 to 1010, but it's all funny

13:25 excellent.

"...but I wouldn't be surprised if he'd had a metal plate inserted in his head..."

"oh please not the cameraman. Fortunately they got the man and not the machinery..."

The world needs more events like this

Sure that commentator still does the Enduro racing on Eurosport.

Brilliant, I'm enjoying this. It's like your english teacher from school doing a bit of part time commentating!

These were always good to watch. The reason why I got Sky in the 90's along with Icelandic 4WD trials. Must dig out the videos.

I wanted to go there after seeing the madness on Eurosports years back.

Do they still do it or has H& S got to that too?
