Make it this one:
Beautiful [apart from the guy with his finger up his nose]!
I would have thought this is up your [s]hill[/s] street, STW.
Blimey, I remember watching that exact broadcast on Eurosport in 96. Completely bonkers and commentary is perfect for it. Completely deadpan.
The commentator was great.
I am amazed that so few people got hurt, the carnage potential was massive.
Bonkers. I went to watch the MX meet up the road last week - starting to look quite tame now ๐
"I shudder to imagine what sort of a pub drinking session came up with this".
Bit of a chuckle at that, but I think the off-road scooter was a pretty good engineering bodge!
Also, has the commentator taken a few tips from the Alistair McGowan school of humour? Reminded me of the good ol' days of HIGNFY
Yep, I remember watching that as well. Brilliant. 9:25 to 1010, but it's all funny
13:25 excellent.
"...but I wouldn't be surprised if he'd had a metal plate inserted in his head..."
"oh please not the cameraman. Fortunately they got the man and not the machinery..."
The world needs more events like this
Sure that commentator still does the Enduro racing on Eurosport.
Brilliant, I'm enjoying this. It's like your english teacher from school doing a bit of part time commentating!
ooh jeez, my knees aren't happy after seeing that guy on skis...
Just seen that. Nutter ๐ฏ How drunk must he be to think that's a good idea
These were always good to watch. The reason why I got Sky in the 90's along with Icelandic 4WD trials. Must dig out the videos.
Yup I remember watching that, I got sat dish in 92 to watch paris dakar, then it was a staple diet of tractor pulling with smatter of hillclimbing, indycar etc...
Abuse testing of both man & machine, gotta love that...!
I wanted to go there after seeing the madness on Eurosports years back.
Do they still do it or has H& S got to that too?
Strangely compelling viewing.
It was a red bull event last time I saw it
If you want a more local version

not sure if there are any others in the uk
Awesome, loved that!
Commentator sounds a bit like Jeremy Vine
