Thanks for that.  In a similar vein you might also like Seafoam Green if you don't know them.  Kind of an Irish/Americana/Laurel Canyon vibe.

Enjoyed that, even though they're not Fannies 😁

Thanks for that! The Fannies are touring later this year. We've just got our tickets for Manchester, New Century Hall.

Teenage Fanclub gigs are just the most wonderful, joyous events!  🙂

Just seen that they are on at New Century. It’s a really nice venue there too.

Thanks, always after new music to check out!

Bandwagonesque holds a special place in my teenage memories. Notice the Fannies are touring but not sure how I feel about seeing them without Gerard - he always wrote the songs I liked best.

if anyone is after a few more recommendations on a related tip…..

The Speedways - London based power pop, very big star influenced, very accomplished, big in Spain, should be bigger here!

The Young Hearts - Gaslight anthem / tom petty / Springsteen heartland rock vibes but with English south coast references.

Scott Anchors and the heavyweights- mates band, Big star / tom petty songwriting with Rickenbaker jangle.

Saw the Fannies last August in Carlisle. They were great, but Raymond's voice wasn't really up to it. Good to see Euros Child on the keys.

Very pleasant thanks for sharing. If you haven’t already heard them you may like the Lemon Twigs.

Thanks. Loved TNF since the very early 90s.

Liking that, a touch of Tom Petty and Danny and the Champions of the World as well, and one guitarist is playing a Rickenbacker, which is only right and proper for that jangly sound! Can’t tell if it’s a 12-string though. 😁

Just checked their back catalogue, they’ve certainly got some recordings behind them, and one single from 2019, ‘Heavy Blue’, has ‘Tom Petty’ as the B-side! 😁

Playing with Bonnie Dobson who I only realised the other day wrote Morning Dew. This is on my must list.
