Normally , I devour the lot but I've just had a big tasty* and medium fries and left at least a third of the fries. what is wrong with me? Have the gastric band fairies been in the night?

You're eating McDonalds at 11 in the morning?

I can't think of any rational reason for such behavior. Unless you had 3 packs of mozzeralla dippers with the burger? Did you? I know I'd never personally do anything like that 😉

Maybe you've got bad aids?

I can't think of any rational reason to voluntarily choose to eat Mcdonalds 'food' ... I can only assume you'd been posessed by the spirit of a massive idiot

Can I kindly request that anyone who's about to get all hoity and middle class, with their aloof condemnations of us plebs eating maccy D's, kindly **** off!

Before you start, like. Cheers!

You need lashings and lashings of BBQ sauce with the last few fries, just to aid with lubrication. They can get a bit dry otherwise.

Last time i had a thickshale i left it after my mate told me horror stories about what's in them.

Other than that i normally only have a medium meal with no extras so find it easy to polish off.

Also, is it true that the only reason they put gherkin in the big macs is because without it they would have to classify it as a dessert?

Sorry Binners 🙂

Eating at/from Mcdonalds is considered a bit of a luxury in Brazil (where my wife's from), as it's not quite cheap-as-chips as here ...

I've never been able to drink the gallon of fizzy they serve with a large meal deal

Last time i had a thickshale i left it after my mate told me horror stories about what's in them.

we left one of those in warm place to ferment for a few weeks recently.. it reverted back to some kind of pva glue-like substance.. 😕

Can't remember the last time I left any McD's.....

To be honest, the last time I had a Big Mac meal my first thought when finishing it was that I probably should have ordered a double cheeseburger as dessert!

Maccy D's is one of my favourite drunk foods. Back at Uni I used to polish of 40 chicken nuggets and the free cheeseburger!

Now ive trimmed down a bit its just 20 nuggets plus those tasty chicken strip things! 😯

I was slipped a date rape drug on saturday night...by the time I dragged my sorry ass and banging head out of bed on Sunday alls I could think about was a Big Tasty - I got 2 large meals and polished them both off - but no dont eat there that often but could pretty much eat everything they have ready on that little burger-keeper-warmerer thing

yunki - Have a coffee instead of the fizzy. Maccy D's coffee is actually really good. And the lack of carboanted bloating means it leaves room for more Mozzarella dippers 😀

joao3v16 - if she's from Brazil, then I imagine there's no shortage of quality burgers to be had there 😀

And a McD's breaky is the best hangover cure in the world. I'm presuming that its because each one contains six of these:

I think it would take about 15 quids worth of Macdonalds to fill me up. As I usually spend about 7 quid, no chance of leaving anything. I'm usually rooting around for an extra chip, like a pig rooting for truffles 😀

i had a maccy d's yesterday, they sell chicken salad and chicken deli wraps, you can also choose water over fizzy pop and I did not get any fries.

Chicken salad and water, suddenly not so unhealthy. i think there business model has improved a lot over the last few years. Does your local take away show you the calories in your food, it really is no worse than a Indian or Chinese take away.

yeah but my perception of it is there's people eat at McD (or similar) everyday. Do people really get takeaway everyday?

tails - are you aware that due to the dressing that the little tinkers put on the salad, it actually contains more calories than the burgers?

Should have gone for

Have never had one. First one I saw was at an airport with a co-worker and I had to do a double-take at the burger it looked so false and plasticky.

Not what I call food.

Yep, twice a day for the last 2 years as a field service engineer :$

Got £8/day expenses so Maccy D's breakfast (£2.99 until recently) and a wicked zinger meal (4.99) for lunch.

Currently just shy of 13 stone at 6'2", I have lost about 6 pounds since starting a new job and not eating all that junk!

Never left anything ofc 😀

McDs...reckon their food is probably better quality than most cafes/snack bars, and probably more ethical (UK sourced, good quality meat rather than all the left over bits in the burgers)

BK on the other hand, if there's no competition nearby, their prices go through the roof! So I avoid when possible on principle.

PS: never leave nuffink! always go for a Latte over soft drinks though.

Stopped eating them 4 months ago and the smell when I walk in one now (for a coffee) turns my stomach. Used to eat a fair few and can't remember ever leaving any though. I kinda miss the sausage MCmuffins.

#tucks into 3 bean salad, mustard cured ham and cherry tomatoes - much yummier!

On a slight tangent...I used to work at one of their stores and got tipped twice which was nice. Not supposed to accept them but still. Once was for getting someone some ketchup and once for giving someone a bin bag to hide a present for their son. I did reject a fiver offered by someone who's hand bag I found though. I didn't even get a 'thank you' from the stupid Mum who was trying to yank her son's stuck head from where he'd got it stuck in the banisters. He was in distress so I ran up, pushed her out of the way and took his head out in a sensible, pain free way.

I have lots more thrilling stories from my time working for Ronald....

@ bucko.
not the big mac, its the quarter pounder with cheese that would be a dessert if theres no pickle in it.
yes, it really is true, it shocked me first time i heard it.
all the individual ingredients are top quality at mcds, the best meat, best tatties etc, its the sauce they put in a big mac etc thats massively high in sugar.
and the bun is caramelised too.

Doubt it but I was there 20 years ago and didn't work in the kitchen much anyway. I had a great laugh working as a lobby host in the evenings, for some reason I had groupies. Once got molested my a load of women on a hen night. Ended up pinned to the yellow plastic bench by a rather chubby bride-to-be.

gutted, few minutes earlier and you would be having a breakfast!

Hmm. Yep, I think you are right. But with the olive thing; you take a step too far sir. If it looks like a grape, it should bloody well taste of one! (That's what my brain anticipates anyway, whether I like it or not.)

Never leave anything.
I usually steal one of the newspapers and fill my pockets with paper napkins as well.

The worst, greasiest McD's is the one at Manchester Victoria.
It mings, avoid at all costs.

I like the gherkins. If you dry them out they make excellent emergency spokey dokeys.

Not defending them finishthat but thats a uk thing ...... Got caught short on a 4 hour transfer to les arc and stopped at mcds for a mcwhizz ( trademark) and we were starving so we had a cheeky mcdonalds and it was cooked fresh - likewise in holland and in bakersfield california ! In the uk its always been a soggy half cooked mess !

I find that if you ask for your burger without something, like gherkin, it is always alot better as it is cooked fresh. Its worth the wee wait. I just ask for my chips and have them as my starter. By the time they're eaten, the burger arrives hot and fresh!

Cooked to order here as well now. I went with my friend, a nutrionist, before Xmas after a large night on the beer. First maccas in 2011 i think as well. There is something addictive in it, salt probably. Hungry 20 minutes later. Generally its a desperation move while driving somewhere.
