I've turned up a day early at he airport before but at least it was the right one!
I went to Ibiza with a few mates years ago and one of them turned up without a passport..."didn't think I needed a passport for Europe".
We stuck him in a hessian sack and threw him in the harbour when we arrived...we felt it was best for everyone.

I've been flying with friends who booked their tickets for the wrong month and didn't realise till they tried to check in...
When living the States I booked a ticket to the wrong Portland (Maine rather than Oregon). Thankfully, I figured it out in time, my work colleague was not so fortunate.
