I make no apologies for this. The track record of the STW-hivemind has brought this on yourselves.
Im looking for a fancy tap for the new kitchen.
This one was in a mates place and I think it's great, but they have no idea what brand or model it is, and Ive been all over it and can find no markings or labels. So can you identify it.
Ive been all over various online resources, but this is different to the usual junk. It's VERY well made, not just "nice enough" Grohe kind of quality.
Anyway, let's see what you guys can do. I'll bump this on Monday for the pro-slackers. Cheers

Yup, ikea.
I could spunk over both your faces. Thank you.
Im even buying an ikea kitchen (I think theyre great quality and value) but didnt see this in the taps section. Ive just been in a kitchen shop playing with £400 taps that feel half the quality of that Ikea one.
Win!
There's really no right or wrong way to reply to that stoner.

A wink and a smile will suffice.
😉
Well I thought about a simple 'thank you' but didnt want to give the wrong impression...
You'll need a tap that good to wash it all off before it dries...
High quality and Ikea in the same sentence? Shurely some mistake?
ahh, it's that kind of prejudice which means you're missing out.
Sure, some of the flimsier furniture isnt fit for anything more than a hamster house, but some things, like their kitchen carcasses and numerar oak work tops are very good quality for good prices.
That tap, for example, feels so much more solid and durable than any other premium priced taps Ive tried in show rooms.
I agree with Stoner. Buy something from IKEA which is a fraction of the price it is elsewhere, and you can expect it, unsurprisingly, to be cheap rubbish. Pay a reasonable price for stuff in IKEA, and you'll get good quality gear imo. And I do like their kitchens.
IKEA suffers from the usual bollox which affects the likes of Tesco, MacDonalds, etc.........if it's popular, then avoid it at all cost. Apparently Sainsbury and Burger King are fine - because they are far less successful. It all stems from the insecurity of some within the lower middle-classes.
