Just back from Sheffield Academy, awesome gig. And 8 minutes of Fool's Gold in the encore...

He's great, until it comes to a tune that the audience can't sing along to, then it's obvious he can't sing for toffee.

Saw him sat night in brixton brillant, i've watched alot of his live stuff on youtube and mostly his voice did nt sound the best. But he was on top form on sat night. Support acts were shite.

New album is probably the best yet, one track in particular is very 'rosey'
The surport band at cambridge was Soho Dolls - thought they were actually quite good.
He openly admits that his voice is a bit iffy sometimes, so that sort of makes it ok! He had lots of vocal training after splitting with the roses too. What happened to John Squires? after the Sea Horses?

A complete genius.

never before has so little ability underpinned such a huge career. 😉

I saw him supporting the Manics about 7 years ago in Cardiff - he had to be escorted off the stage part of the way through the set by security. IIRC he was having a problem with some of the crowd.

Can't say that anything else sticks in my memory about the gig. A shame because I like some of his stuff.

saw him at cardiff uni about 3 years ago, class gig until someone in the crowd spat at him. brown stopped the song pointed at the offender and started shouting "dirty bastard!" security had to jump in and escort the offender out of the gig, as they did the guy must have had about 50 slaps from the crowd.

his voice is sh*te live, but he has presence and its always good to hear a few roses songs live. the energy at the gig was amazing as everyone was singing along.

had to laugh at his leather adidas tracksuit with gold piping.
