Our house is split across two buildings, and we spend most of the day in the 'back' one, where we work, but deliveries etc will go to the 'front' one. They'll often knock or ring the bell, but we won't hear them cos we're in the other building.
The distance between the buildings, and the thick stone walls between the front door and the 'back' building, means a 'normal' cordless doorbell probably wouldn't work, so I'm thinking of getting a WiFi doorbell. I literally just want a doorbell though, I don't care about video, seeing it on my phone, any of that, I just want someone to be able to press a button by the door and a bell to ring in both buildings.
Does such a thing exist?
We have one of these

now our ringer is only 5metres from the bell, but they
claim
a range of 150m
i really like that the button is self powered and you just plug the ringer into a socket which you can still use like a socket, you can also but multiple receivers to scatter accross your expansive estate
most techies rate Arlo as a lot better than Ring, looks like they have an audio-only option:

(assuming your WiFi coverage is fine?)
or, not WiFi, but plenty of apparently "long range" wireless options - this one has good reviews & someone does mention thick walls

If the distance is that much you might find the delivery driver has gone by the time you get there. A video doorbell will notify you before they even get to the door. So more time to get to them before they leave.
Cheers for the suggestions, that Arlo one looks interesting.

There's not miles between the two buildings (there's about twenty feet), it's more the layout and the stone walls that makes the doorbell range an issue.
If you're in the West Wing could you not get the butler to answer it?
If we we're in the West Wing there wouldn't be a problem, but yesterday were sat in the Orangery when we had a delivery during the the butler's fortnightly fifteen minute break and we had to ask the second under-footman to see to it and it's perfectly beastly to be expected to speak to the second under-footman.
