Moving house. New place has no garage to store my [s]herd[/s] [s]flock[/s] nest of bikes (now down to 3 from the previous 6).

Need a small, sturdy, scally-proof shed installed in the back yard, about 4' x 8' or so. A bit too inept to put it up myself, but can coat it and get a good Abus lock on there once it's erect.

Recommendations? I can't stand B and Q or Homebase or any of that stuff - would much rather order off small business online or locally. High Peak/Disley area just South of Manchester if that helps.

Cheers
Kitch

^ hehe

I had a very back experience with a company based at this address in the west midlands: Brierley Hill, West Midlands, DY5 3LA

The company was called Urban Forest Timber buildings, this is an old site of theres but their proper one has been taken down after the dissolved the company late 2015, there was quite a few people on FB who paid them for sheds and never got them. https://sites.google.com/site/urbanforesttimberbuildnings/gallery

I have noticed this new shed company based at a very similar address: http://www.nordictimberbuildings.com/

and their sheds look very similar. Now of course it would be wrong of me to say they are the same people and to avoid them as they might not be but I thought it might be worth warning you to be careful who you buy from given you are currently looking.

Me too. Got one of these. http://www.asgardsss.co.uk/bike-cycle-storage/large-metal-bike-shed

Not cheap but very well made. I have 3 full-suss MTBS in there plus the commuter, with space for toolbox, pump, helmets/shoes etc.

These chaps are local to you and I got a shed and gate from the a few years back. Good service too. Looking on their website though they don't mention sheds. Maybe worth a call / drop in as they do stuff to order.

Red lion opposite does good food too 🙂

Brilliant, lads, brilliant. That Asguard looks bombproof.

My vote's either for that or i'll see if those two bald gents are available for home security, i'll bet they need the cash!

Reckon a chunky Abus lock would secure it up ok?
There are some circular-profile ones which are impossible to get bolt cutters round:

Try one of these from Costco, made from a wood composite (sawdust and resin), I have one and its very good. Comes in a kit form and you can put it up in a day.
