give up crisps.

Everything else in the kitchen is relatively healthy.
The snack cupboard however is not. Walkers, mini cheddars, Sainbury's own brand, hoola hoops and lastly some of those low fat baked things all fell on my head on opening the door.

i all but gave them up a year or so ago, but i had a bag of ready salted walkers on the way back from llandegla yesterday. and i felt bad.

in other news, is there any chance you may be interested in guiding a couple of people around the roman lakes area this weekend? we're considering heading over there one day...

I basically can't eat a sandwich without crisps, impossible, no way!

I do tend to try and get low fat ones though!

Crisps ? I can take them or leave them. Unless I'm REALLY hungry after a ride. But I hate those greasy 'authentic pan fried hand cut by orcs' ones, give me Walkers or Seabrook any day 🙂

There are crisps and crisps tho.

Those Penn State pretzels are delicious in Spicy Salsa variety and are dead low fat. Then there's the walkers baked ones, french fries, and cheesy wotsits....

I've had 3 packs since the first week of January and that was only because i felt the need to try these new funny Walkers flavours. Also gave up chocolate and biscuits at the same time. Missed them at first but now not at all. Have a feeling it was more habit than desire that made me eat so much of it all in the first place. Plus i still eat pretty much what i want, i don't diet, i've just cut out the shite and replaced it with fruit instead (and the occasional full english breakfast).
Feel better for it but will still eat the odd choccy bar if i feel the need after a long ride.

Crisps are an essential part of a balanced diet, aren't they?

xherbivorex - Can't at the moment, have been off the bike since New Years eve 🙁 Only managed a couple of spinning along the canal type rides.
Does it have to be next weekend? Could maybe do it in a few weeks time. Or send J. a mail.

I'm partial to quavers. Not an ounce of goodness anywhere in a quaver.

I love crisps me. I just wish they sold these in the UK:

American snack products, guaranteed to be bad for you. But SO good.

Anyone tried Branston Pickle mini cheddars? - DON'T

They are the most addictive crisps known to man, even Ronald McDonald and Coca-a-Cola could learn a thing or two. I don't even like Branston Pickle.

Although recent trips to the vending machine have left me wondering whether there's a country wide drought on. Having to subsist on the methadone / barbecue sauce flavour, yuk.

i fell your pain!!!

i have recently stopped the crisps during the week and now treat myself only on the weekends....

trouble is when i say treat myself i mean a whole bag of sensations in one sitting, the best crisps though are from M&S, in a clear type bag forget the name but theres 3 flavours and in each bag they have 3 types/shapes of crisp. they are more like party crisps...

DONT GO NEAR THEM!!!!

I basically can't eat a sandwich without crisps, impossible, no way!
😀

Cannot agree more!

the 'penn state pretzels' are a good solution...

but the king of crisps and it has been for years are.....

Crisps... one of the few treats I have. Don't eat chocolate or sweets. But I am partial to a bowl of salted tortillas with a drizzle of Tabasco and a dollop of crème fraiche.... washed down with a Corona.
