Forgotten it? First time I've ever heard it, I had to Shazam it to find out who it is.
Really not my kinda thing, Burial's about the closest I get.

It's a really good album but it hasn't really aged well. Feels very much of the time it was released.

First time I've heard it. Likely to be the last, too

I can't even play it on my phone so I will never ever know.
However if you took two seconds to write the song title I could look it up.
There's no winners in this story.

Surely the fact the video is called "Butterfly - Talvin Singh" is a bit of a hint?

Hmm.. I won't be listening to that again. Not my cup of tea I'm afraid.

It's sort of had any life quantized out of it. And the arrangement makes it seem like the demo button on some music processing software.

I had forgotten how good this was until Spotify reminded me and I completely lost myself for 5 mins at my desk.

not the best Talvin imho, but the Baby D is a classic in its genre.

Don't be a rotter. zippykona can't see the video title on his tablet/phone/whatever without clicking on the video and waiting for it to open in Youtube (same on my iPad).
ps. I didn't like the Talvin Singh thing very much.

Thanks OP. I'd forgotten Talvin. He's not come up on my shuffle for a while.

I have made this point a few times but folk still post a video without typing what it is. I don't mind a bit of Talvin but because of the OP's shoddy posting I won't be clicking the link.

First time listener, I quite liked that, his drums are a bit sporadic. I shall seek more.
Thanks OP.

First time listen. Quite mellow. Would have been really good back in the day with an eighth of skunk slowly dwindling on the student flat coffee table ๐Ÿ™‚

The music press at the time did seem to indulge in a collective and somewhat extensive jizz off about just how damn good Talvin Singh was.

For some reason, I found the album was excrutiantingly boring.

IMO
