If in doubt, go red cos that'll make the bike faster. All red things do.

Red will clash with my pink hubs/headset.

White hose will ruin the rest of the aesthetics

Dunno how I sleep at night i really don't 🙁

Black... Because if you go with white and it looks stupid, it's obvious you've made an effort and failed. Whereas if you go with black and it looks stupid, at least it just looks like you grabbed a random cable tie.

Cola-flavoured hubba bubba...chewed 20 times (no more, no less) and use that to stick hose to fork...

Anything else is just stupid!

Forget the cable tie Deirdre and use a hair bobble 😉

Take it off, it'll be faster still. Promise.

Answer is obvious. White zip tie around the fork leg. Black zip tie around the hose. Join the two with a clear zip tie.

Surely you should be chosing your zip-ties to match your Oakleys?

What difference does it make? Will anyone other than you ever see this bike?

FFS Houns.

Just get a custom spray job on the fork to match you cheap standard issue black porper hoses.

Get some of these:
http://www.winstanleysbikes.co.uk/product/39698/MPart_Suspension_Fork_Disc_Brake_Hose_Guides
And stop whining.
They do actually work very well. I have them on the Nixons on my Hooligan Inbred. Much better than a ziptie.
Oh, and Chain Reaction have them for £5.99. One point, the little tool for hooking the O-ring over the guide has fairly sharp edges and can slice the O-ring. I used a needle file and fine wet+dry to smooth it and the went on a treat. They look very professional, much tidier than zipties. I had to get bigger O-rings from B&Q because of the slider diameter.

you need to have the white one round the fork leg and a black one round the hose, looping the two together in a figure of 8

MTFU & stick a normal black zip tie on you fork & get out there & ride the bike.
If you were a rider, this problem would be irrelevant, as the bike should be covered in sh1te most of the time anyway.... 🙂

Whatever you choose it will be wrong. Your entire focus when riding will be on whether you made the right choice. There will be no correct choice. You'll crash whilst staring at the selected solution. People will not notice but you will think they do. Any trail cafe laughter will be perceived to be about your zip-tie.

HTH

OK, so here are the choices I have to hand at the moment:

Clear/White
[img] [/img]

Blue
[img] [/img]

Yellow
[img] [/img]

Red
[img] [/img]

Black (With one of the twins in the background)
[img] [/img]

Here's the other twin playing with his new toy
[img] [/img]

Now seeing as I don't have any hair bobbles or pink zip ties at the moment I am going to have to go for one of the above.
Which one will give me the most pose value for trail centre car parks? (Cutting a cats tail off and using that isn't an option) 😡

That's never red, that's pink! And it goes with the hubs, pink is the way to go.

Here are some ugly overpriced sunnies to go with it:
