I am 6 foot 5 and pretty heavy, I used to think I was really tall until I read above! Don't know where all you tall people hide but I am normally the tallest person by at least a head wherever I go.

Less than 6ft (181cm), I always say that to wind up my old housemates who both claimed to be 6ft for some reason but were actualy shorter.

Weight 91kg (this morning, gym scales). Set myself a target of getting my BMI below 25 (82kg) before the clocks go back. That will be 12 weeks after my arm broke so I can get back to riding of road and crashing. Then 75kg for spring. Added motivation this time that I never used to break bones in crashes, so losing weight can't do any harm (as long as I don't take it to the extream of losing bone mieral density!)

6', 14.5 stone when I weighed myself a few weeks since. Bordering obese apparently

6'1" and 15 stone and borderline obese too apparently, depsite 34-36" waist.

If that's the case then 50% of the population round here must be super or morbidly obese!

It's interesting to see the mix of imperial and metric measurements people are using.

To me anyway, but then I'm REALLY dull.

Me too. I want to see height in feet/inches and weight in stone/lbs. I barely understand anything else. I've no idea how tall 180cm or how heavy 80kg is.

6'5" 16.3st generally.
Would like to weigh less as its holding me back on the climbs.

Used to be in a pub pool team and my mate is 6'2", he was the shortest in the team!

6'2" ish, or 189cm. 80kgs which suddenly seems very average!

I had a check-up a couple of years ago, when I was... 6' 1" and 15 ish stone (I wasn't riding at the time). Nurse told me I was officially obese, but looked totally shame-faced as she admired my rippling torso.

The medical definition of obesity is ridiculous.

178cm (5'10")
75kg (11st9')

How do I know my weight?..I've been that since my twenties, and that's what the scales will say if I get on them today. Varies a bit depending on riding/eating, but that's about normal.

lots of tall fellas.

What's the average inside leg of a 6"2 person? I'm curious as after having my wedding suit measured I have a silly short 30" inside leg!
I've been in denial when buying jeans all these years!

BMI is rubbish outside of the middle/average range of heights.

BMI suggests I need to be 13.5 stone as a 'healthy weight'. The only time I've been that weight as an adult was when I was already slim then came back from a month's interrailing when I didn't have enough money to eat and drink so chose mainly to drink. I certainly wasn't a healthy weight. 14.5 to 15.5 stone is ideal, healthy and pretty slim for me and my build.

Have a feeling there's at least one 6'8" person from similar posts in years gone by. I've certainly met a fair few people in bars over the years that tower over me!

TooTall is 6'8" as is MrTall IIRC - certainly the bike I bought off him that was too small for him is spot on for me...

Well my brother in law asked if my shirts always come untucked which they do, so I guess I am all torso! My wife to be calls me little legs since finding out, it is also a source of hilarity for all my friends.
I want to be a paeleontologist so I'm now being nicknamed littlelegasaurus!

Good times.

Getting worried now, I'm 5'10 with a 31.5" inside leg which, if I take off 12" for my neck & head, means my torso is only 27" long - which organs am I missing! 😯

170cm / 74kg and a modest wibble-around-the-middle when I do naked star jumps in front of a full length mirror.

My next target is 70kg, then re-do the star jump test...although I may have to use a different branch of M&S.

I suspect 64-67kg is going to be closer to the mark, though I'm more interested in losing fat than obsessing over the scale readout.

How do you measure your rides, miles/mph or km/kph?

6'4" and 77kg here. Considering MTBing is a physical sport I'm suprised by how many fat people there are on here.

Too many weekend warriors I guess!

6ft 2in. Which is about 2 inches taller than most of the doors in our house. Stupid, short-arsed Victorians.

And I weigh around 11.5st.

6'4" & 18st 8lbs or 1.93m & 118kg.

Last time at the doctors he "recommended" I lose some weight. Target was 84kg. To bring me into the middle of the BMI chart for normal. I was once 88kg and looked like a concentration camp victim. That was when I was in hospital recovering from dysentery. I'd be more than happy at 100kg.

6' 2"
13 stone
Normal size legs but long back. Waiting for surgery on my back for slipped disk, but still riding plenty.
I have found over the years that more and more people are getting taller. There used to be a time that I would be the only tall person on the street, now there are lots more than there were.
Anything over 6'2" is freakish though.

When I worked in London I was the shortest person in the workshop at 5'8.
Moving to Bexhill and I was the same height as most people there.
Is there a regional difference?
As an aside are your kids taller than you?

If this were a road forum then I suspect the weights would be much less.

Mountain Biking in general is more about enjoyment rather than pain & fitness.

For the overwhelming majority it's a pastime, not a sport.
