Personally I rather like mixing units

Me too but it's my age/education/career path. Secondary school was SI for sciences, imperial for woodwork and metalwork. Worked as a civil engineer. Design work was in metric but discuaaion on site often in imperial - 8 inch pipe, 9 inch brick wall, etc.

I've taken two things from this thread.

1) I assumed it was a stealth way of asking how old you have to be to still quote your height and weight in Imperial units, and

2) I am absolutely astonished by the number of people of all ages using Metric.

I’m 47, 187cm and 77kg last time I weighed myself, which was a while ago! Put some weight on since not running so much, but similar to what I weighed at 18..

2) I am absolutely astonished by the number of people of all ages using Metric.

My natural instinct would have taken me to 5'11 and a bit (really annoying being about 1cm under 6ft) and 13st, but seeing as everyone else was doing it...

I hit 15st with very little muscle just over a year ago and gave myself a kick up the arse

Well, I laughed.

That's not lanky, unless you mean you're somewhere between Blackpool and Colne. I'm the same height and probably twenty pounds lighter.

Yes, I could do with losing a bit of Terry. Leg broke in Sept. last year but found the kitchen before I could get out the house. Gently back on the bike now and hope to get down to 85 Kg where the majority of my nice clothes start to fit again.

I think it's fair to say that we've confirmed the first part of the STW stereotype, in that most of us appear to be middle aged and overweight. Next up: What do you do for a living and what car do you drive?

I don't think we need to establish political bias, just go and read any of the threads over 5 pages long.

Older than Kylie, younger than Madonna

Pretty much the same age, height and weight as Kylie. Not nearly as cool though. (Do people still say cool? – possibly showing my age). 😃

Obv I am older and heavier than the STW mean.

54yo

61.8kg
A year ago I was over 70kg, but I've slowly been losing the middle. I'd like to stabilise at about 60kg which I think would be reasonable.

The how to measure like a Brit thing missed a couple points.
If it's cold outside, Celsius
If it's hot outside, Farenheit

I have no idea how warm it is in Farenheit. If it's not in Celsius it mean anything.

Will the next round involve people posting pictures of themselves in bikinis and talking about how they want to travel the world and help people??

Older than I (mostly) feel. According to the Year 8 kids I taught today though, I could be anywhere between 32 and 59...

Short.

Too much.
