I'm actually excited about the release of a couple of albums in the next few weeks, for the first time in longer than I can remember; The XX and the Big Pink. It hasn't been this good in years, and it's all genres, not just skinny white boys with guitars, there really good electronic, and folk, and all sorts.

very cool

UK music scene has always been good! Just stay away from the charts!

the calvin harris album is alright, think i preferred his debut though. The standout tracks are jsut the already released singles 🙁

Great stuff coming out of the US too.
I'm loving the current artists pushing the boundaries (Glitch Mob, Bullion, Flying Lotus etc)

That Calvin Harris - does it really say gotta find shoes and I'm ready for the weekend ?? You can keep that kind of pap mate, and I'll stick to being a "snob".

There's just so much good stuff out there I can't keep up with it, recent stuff I've heard and bought include Six Day Riot, who are being touted in the press as 'The Next Big Thing', and I first heard two years ago on 6Music, Smoke Fairies, Polly and the Billets Doux, also on 6Music, Mechanical Bride, there's Laura Marling, with a new album in the offing, Blood Red Shoes, The Joy Formidable, Chew Lips, plus established acts like Elbow, Doves, Goldfrapp, Portishead...
The list goes on.
