How durable are DCF tarps?

I'm very tempted by the weight saving of a DCF tarp (0.51 oz DCF from Wild Sky Gear https://www.wildskygear.co.uk/3m-x-27m-wolf-triple-dcf-tarp--200g-1429-p.asp ) but before I pull the trigger on something so expensive, I wouldn't mind a bit more reassurance on how long it will last! I've had a bag before made of the same material, which I used for my cook kit, and we managed to wear a hole in it while it was in my partner's bag. It also feels impossibly thin! I've also read that DCF is incredibly strong in some ways, but very poor at abrasion resistance so maybe we weren't putting it to its best use. Anyone able to give me an idea of the expected longevity of this stuff? I'm not planning to pitch it in any ridiculous storms or anything, but it would be good to know if it can stay together in a 30 mph wind

This. I have a couple of DCF tarps. I've had no issues with them or concerns about them.

£400 for a tarp? Is that considered good VFM these days?

Are there cheaper DCF tarps available?

30cm shorter on one side, but it's nearly £100 cheaper

I was just looking at those! I make it more like £150 cheaper, which is a huge amount, but made with a thicker DCF, which I can't decide whether is good or bad. Also, not available in any steathy colours, which is a bit tricky

If you're interested in Trekkertent then it's worth an email. He often has other DCF fabrics in stock - weights and colours. Both of my DCF tarps are from there and are the silvery-green shade. He can also do custom sizes.

Sadly, I’ve it doesn’t look like Trekkertent are doing their DCF tarps anymore. Shame, they are a great company to deal with, and their tarps had great reviews! They are still making their tents though, fortunately
