Without some cracking software, you don't. That's the point.
Think it MIGHT be possible to create a new version of the workbook without the protection, with some cunning copying/pasting and saving as. Sure I've worked around it that way before.
yeah done the copy & paste special route. I was just wondering if the 'cracking software' or other option was quicker (i'm lazy that way :lol:)
The passwords are very easy to crack, as they don't use the actual password, just a fairly short string based upon the password.
Add a new worksheet, put a button on it, use the button to trigger a macro. There are loads of macros you can copy and paste from the web and use.
I've done this several times when students have set passwords on their coursework and then forgotten it.
