Missus was due on Thursday (28th).

Needless to say, she's fed up. I'm knackered from touring the local parks with the 2 year old in tow.

Now Sat night - how do we get the baby out??

Tried bhuna's and boner's over the last week or so - nothing!

She reckons it's a boy otherwise it'd me out by now and that it's just lazy!

So, any tips?

Tell your missus that you might go and treat yourself to a new bike tomorrow, if she's nothing planned. You'll be off to the maternity unit in a couple of hours. FACT.

Good luck

It's only 2 days over due. Mrs next door was induced at 2 weeks overdue last weekend.
HTH

Edit: Plan a ride a good couple of hours from home for early next week. Guaranteed to make it happen.

Oh and get some sleep while you still can.

I think "boners" covers that. Or do you mean, have Serious sex?

Suck it up and stop moaning.

For both of ours the wife went full term + 14 days and was therefore induced twice, 2 days over is nothing.

Sex does it, apparently.

Apparently, actual real science has been done into how prosterones (sp?) help start labour. You have a handy natural supply in semen and the most effective method is by mouth.

(I soooo know this is going to get me a ban...)

Sex didn't work for us, that's for sure. The wife is pretty small and didn't have a particularly enjoyable pregnancy on both occasions. Every one of those extra 28 days felt like a year for her.

Seems worse cos the first was early.

Not she'd go for a BJ on those grounds but thanks Rachel.

Prob should just get bonking!

Didn't think I'd be going back to work after the 11 day break, but looks like it now!

mine 3 were all late, 6 days, 14 days, 11 days.
none of those old wives tales work, it'll pop out when its ready.
hardly any arrive on their due date anyway so try not to worry about it.

You should ask the lady (nicely) to lie on her back then shake a baby's rattle at the end of her skirt to entice it out.

Rachel, your way of thinking should bring you the OBE at least.

Little Q first was yanked into the world through an emergency c-section 9 days ago. She was at that point 11 days late and pissed off.

Sex, curries, bumpy rides, magic from her mum, none of them worked. Only thing that properly worked in the end was a surgeons scalpel.

So maybe you could suggest that to her and see if it speeds things up

Hairychested - It's absolutely true - I used to have a partner who was a midwife and she said that's what they always tell the late mums now...

"bhuna's and boner's"

Revell in it. I doubt you'll have time for either pretty soon 😆

Or buy a new very niche bike and tell her the price, the reaction may induce labour.

Then you're really winning; bhunas+boning+bike=baby!

Or show it the alarm clock set for 2am then it will think it's time to wake you up and come out.

When it's out, you'll wish it back.
Get used to looking after the first born.

She's been on the rasberry leaf like its going out of fashion. Midwife will prob do a sweep tomorrow, so that might help.

Feel like we prisoners in our own Town!

Garage has never been so tidy though!
